Israeli demolitions and Palestinian property, and the number of people displaced by demolitions have peaked in the last 5 years.

25 humanitarian organizations are calling for an end to demolitions and denounce the obstruction of humanitarian aid. During the peace negotiations in 2013, the demolitions were up 43% in Area C and East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank increased by 74% displaced persons, compared with the same period in 2012 *.

International and local aid organizations have faced severe restrictions to meet the needs of people, resulting from illegal demolitions of civilian property. These restrictions constitute a violation of the obligation of the state of Israel to facilitate the arrival of aid in an effective manner. In 2013 122 (residential or work) civil structures made thanks to international aid were demolished by the Israeli authorities. In addition, at least 65 aid packages, including shopping haven, were confiscated.

The destruction and obstruction of aid delivery is such that the International Committee of the Red Cross announced its decision to suspend the distribution of shelter for people whose homes were demolished in the Jordan Valley, where there has been an increase 127 percent in demolitions during 2013.

The demolition of civilian goods is a direct violation of humanitarian rights of persons and international humanitarian law, which prohibits demolitions unresponsive to absolute military necessity

In light of the alarming figures, international and local humanitarian organizations, development, human rights and religious ordered the immediate cessation of illegal demolitions and Israel meets its obligation to facilitate rapid and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance to reach those who need it most.
