La importancia del aseo para evitar enfermedades llega a las escuelas de diez comunidades rurales en Nicaragua

La Iniciativa Paragua, consorcio en el que forma parte Alianza por la Solidaridad para garantizar el derecho al agua en el país centroamericano, busca concienciar a l@s más pequeños sobre la importancia de la higiene y el aseo.

Más de 550 niños y niñas en edades de preescolar y primaria han recibido formación para concienciar a los menores sobre la importancia de la higiene personal a fin de evitar enfermedades: el lavado correcto de manos, dientes y cuerpo, así como el uso de letrinas y papeleras como una condición sine qua non que garantiza la limpieza y, por lo tanto, la salud. A lo largo de dos semanas, estas capacitaciones han sido ejecutadas por Alianza por la Solidaridad y ADEES.

IMG_20171108_104632_resized_20171121_065440775Children have participated in these activities through different games and dynamic activities: songs, choreographies, drawings, stories and teaching materials, such as a giant mouth full of teeth that they have been able to brush.

The schools that have received these workshops have been Las Pilas, La Consulta (also attended by students from Rancho Pando), Santa Anita, Mina de Agua (composed of students from that community and Rincón García), Laureles II, El Zapote, Los Genízaros and San Ramón .

These formations are part of, and in turn complete, a whole formative process that is being carried out in these territories and that aims to involve all the social actors linked to the Community management of water: Committees of Drinking Water (CAPS), health promoters, leaders' schools and schools.
