No racist raids! For global citizenship!

Last Saturday the Patio Maravillas Social Centre in the Fish Malasaña Street, at a press conference denouncing the racist raids and demanded freedom of Lucia.

During the press conference one member of the Neighborhood Brigades Observing Human Rights denounced the existence of these controls as racial profiling. After fifty people went to the police station to ask for Leganitos situation Lucia and demand their freedom. A few hours later Lucia was released.

From the Home Office say that racist raids are no longer performed but as this incident shows, they are still doing these illegal practices documentation asks where people by the color of their skin.

In Solidarity Alliance believe in a global, active, responsible citizenship, based in multicultural societies, where the rights of all are recognized and all, where people fight for democratic participation rejecting discrimination against migrants. We believe that our society should be based on a democratic system with an inclusive citizen participation and which must include migrants as citizens, recognizing their rights and responsibilities to demand them through their participation in the political, economic and social life.

From Alliance for Solidarity add us to demand an end to these racist and illegal raids. Therefore, we call for participation in the concentration is done from the Patio Maravillas for Tuesday October 1 at 20:00 h in Callao against racist raids.

No human being is illegal!
