Carles Casajuana


He was born in 1954 in Sant Cugat (Barcelona)
Diplomat with over thirty years of experience. He now works in the private sector as a consultant for foreign investment in Spain.
Between 2008-2012, he was the Ambassador of Spain in the United Kingdom. Previously, between 2004 and 2008, he was the director of the International Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
In the period 2001-2004 he was Ambassador Representative of Spain to the Political and Security Committee of the EU Earlier in the period 1996-2001, he was the Ambassador of Spain in Malaysia. He was also ambassador to Spain in Vietnam, more briefly, in Brunei, in both cases under multiple accreditation residing in Kuala Lumpur.
He had previously held various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Spain in Bolivia and the Philippines and at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
-Degree in Law and Economics from the University of Barcelona.
-Member of the Royal Academy of Economics and Finance.
-Author of several novels in Catalan and Spanish. Ramon Llull Prize for literature 2009.
